Garnshíði

Garnshíði is one of the five island-like regions of the continent of Atlan, connected to each other by the usually frozen Frigid Sea. Garnshíði is located in the north east of Atlan.

Garnshíði has a high population of Frost Giants, with the two Giant tribes of the Druskvar and the Verker both competing for dominion over the land.

It is believed that the name "Garnshíði" is derived from the name of the Primordial Earth Goddess Gaia, and the Giant word “Barnshíði”, meaning Womb or Uterus. With the name translating to Gaia’s Womb or Gaia’s Uterus.
