Karagkar
Karagkar is a village located in the Knífrbreið region of Atlan. It is a holy site for the Karagkar Goliath tribes, a location in which all the tribes share, and in which conflict with other Goliath is strictly forbidden, on penalty of death.
Karagkar is filled with numerous shrines, dedicated to the Primordial Goddess Gaia and the Giant Gods. Due to the Karagkar tribes being nomadic, they only visit Karagkar for religious worship or coming of age ceremonies, with the only year-round inhabitants of Karagkar being the Shaman devotes of Gaia and the Giant Gods, who manage and maintain the village and shrines, as well as performing all of the Karagkar’s religious rituals.
Government
Karagkar is governed by the handful of local Shaman devotes of Gaia and the Giant Gods that make Karagkar their home. They are led by an elder Shaman, usually a matriarchal figure, and a chosen of the Goddess Gaia.
Defence
Karagkar is defended by the local Shamans, who usually wield Elemental Magic, as well as by any visiting or nearby Karagkar tribes and their population of brutal warriors.
Commerce
The Karagkar tribes do not trade, but Karagkar survives on donations and offerings of supplies made by the local tribes.
The Karagkar tribes do not trade with other cultures, and rarely trade between each other. All of Karagkar's equipment and produce is either created locally, or is donated and offered by the visiting Karagkar tribes.
Geography
Karagkar is a small village located at the base of the Knífr Peaks.
The village is built within a wide hollow that depresses a short distance into the ground, and is partially covered by a large rocky platform, that protrudes from the mountain. Karagkar is dotted with numerous tents and man-made shrines, dedicated to Gaia and the Giant Gods, as well as some homes built within caves that open into the mountain side. A ever-burning hearth also lies at the centre of the village.
