Hermes - God of Civilisation

Hermes is the God of Diplomacy, Trade and Travel. They are a friendly and sociable deity, highly energetic and constantly active.   Hermes is also known as the "Herald of the Gods" as they can easily traverse between Planes. They are a psychopomp, one of the beings responsible for ferrying souls to the Underworld, along with Charon, The Keres, and Thanatos. But unlike the other psychopomps Hermes is incapable of passing through The Divine Gate.   Hermes is commonly worshipped by merchants, thieves and travellers, usually for good fortune. They are also the patron of Heralds, protecting diplomatic meetings. Hermes is highly tied to civilised life and can be found worshipped all throughout mortal civilisation.   Domains: Commerce, Cunning, Diplomacy, Language, Thieves, Trade and Travel.   Symbols: The Caduceus, Hawks, Storks, Winged Sandals (Talaria) and a Winged Cap.

Apperance

  Hermes is commonly depicted as a lithe young figure with tanned skin and fair hair. They are usually wearing their iconic winged cap and winged sandals.   Hermes can appear as a masculine, feminine or androgynous figure.

  Hermaea - 25th to the 30th of Pémptos
A religious day celebrated by followers of Hermes and Nike, commonly celebrated through a week-long tournament of athleticism and gymnastics. Sometimes called the Olympics.
