Divine Classification
All creatures across the universe can be classed into eight categories denoting how powerful of an entity they are.
1 - Primordials
The Primordials are the oldest and most powerful entities in the Universe, the children of Khaos, with each of them representing one of the universe's fundamental concepts/cosmic forces.
The Primordial Deities include Apophis, Erebus, Eros, Gaia, Hecate, Khronos, The Moirai, Nyx, Tartarus, and Thanatos.
- Divine Gate. The Primordials can not pass through the Divine Gate.
- Immortal. The Primordials are True Immortals, they do not age and can not be killed.
- Worship. The Primordials do not fluctuate in power in accordance with worship.
- Unchanging. The Primordials are unchanging beings, personifications of a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
2 - Greater Deities
Greater Deities are Divine beings who have an innate influence and control of one or more Divine Domains. Greater Deities usually either have a lot of worshippers or have control over one of the Outer Planes.
- Divine Gate. Greater Deities can not pass through the Divine Gate.
- Immortal. Greater Deities are Immortals, they do not age and can not be killed.
- Worship. Greater Deities often fluctuate in power in accordance with the number of worshipers they have, with Greater Deities often having the largest number of active worshipers.
- Unchanging. Greater Deities are unchanging beings, akin to a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
3 - Lesser Deities
Lesser Deities are Divine beings who have an innate influence and control of one or more Divine Domains. Lesser Deities usually have a small number of worshippers.
- Divine Gate. Lesser Deities can not pass through the Divine Gate.
- Immortal. Lesser Deities are Immortals, they do not age and can not be killed.
- Worship. Lesser Deities often fluctuate in power in accordance with the number of worshipers they have, with Lesser Deities often having the a smaller number of active worshipers in comparison to Greater Deities.
- Unchanging. Lesser Deities are unchanging beings, akin to a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
4 - Quasi-Deities
Quasi-Deities are powerful, near God-like beings. Quasi-Deities are usually associated with, or tied to, one of the Outer Planes, and are often found in positions of power or authority. Some Quasi-Deities also have dominion over a Divine Domain, similar to Deities, though this is not true of all Quasi-Deities.
Quasi-Deities include the Archangels of the Heavens, the Archdevils of the Hells, and the Archfae of Faerie.
- Divine Gate. Quasi-Deities can pass through the Divine Gate, though with great difficulty, often requiring to be summoned with powerful Magic.
- Immortal. Quasi-Deities are Immortals, they do not age and can not be killed except under specific circumstances.
- Worship. Quasi-Deities are capable of fluctuating in power in accordance with the number of worshipers they have, but it is usually far less impactful in comparison to Divine beings.
- Unchanging. Quasi-Deities are unchanging beings, akin to a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
5 - Greater Idols
Greater Idols are powerful beings that are usually found inhabiting one of the Outer Planes. While they are supernaturally strong, Greater Idols do not possess powers comparable to the Gods.
Greater Idols include the Legati of the Hells, the Krakens of the Elemental Plane of Water, and Liches.
- Ageless. Greater Idols do not age, but they be killed. Though many are capable of reforming unless a specific criteria is met.
- Divine Gate. Greater Idols can pass through the Divine Gate, often with the aid of powerful Magic.
- Worship. Greater Idols are unaffected by worship.
- Unchanging. Greater Idols are unchanging beings, akin to a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
6 - Lesser Idols
Lesser Idols are beings that are usually found inhabiting one of the Outer Planes. While they are usually more powerful than your average Mortal, Lesser Idols do not possess powers comparable to the Gods.
Lesser Idols include the monstrous children of Echidna, the Fairies of the Land of Faerie, and the Imps of the Hells.
- Ageless. Lesser Idols do not age, but they be killed.
- Divine Gate. Lesser Idols can pass through the Divine Gate, often with the aid of powerful Magic.
- Worship. Lesser Idols are unaffected by worship.
- Unchanging. Lesser Idols are unchanging beings, akin to a force of nature. They are incapable of acting out of character or reinventing themselves.
7 - Mortals
Mortals are creatures that are usually found on the Material Plane. Most Mortals are quite weak, but with the aid of Magic and teamwork some Mortals are capable of contending with the likes of Greater Idols or even Quasi-Deities.
Unique from all other creature in the Universe, Mortals have Souls, granting them free will and the capacity for change and growth.
- Divine Gate. Mortals can pass through the Divine Gate, often with the aid of powerful Magic.
- Free Will. Mortals possess Free Will, making them capable of drastic change and growth.
- Mortal. Mortals age and decay, they can also be killed, with their Souls travelling to the Underworld. Mortals are also the only creatures capable of being revived once killed.
- Worship. Mortals are unaffected by worship.
8 - Beasts
Beasts, sometimes called animals, are primitive creatures that are usually found on the Material Plane. Beasts are usually quite weak and simple minded, incapable to complex thought or Magic. While some Beasts can be physically strong, sometimes able to contend and defeat Lesser Idols, it is uncommon.
- Divine Gate. Beasts can pass through the Divine Gate, but only with the aid of a more powerful entity.
- Instinctive. Beasts do not possess Free Will, and while some have consciousness, they are usually driven by instinct and biology.
- Mortal. Beasts age, decay, and can also be killed.
- Worship. Beasts are unaffected by worship.
