Echidna - Mother of Monsters
Echidna is the Goddess of Metamorphosis and the patron of Monsters. She is a cruel and violent deity, many of the monsters that roam the Material Plane were originally the children of Echidna, who takes great pleasure in the death and destruction wrought by her children.
Echidna is the offspring of Gaia and Tartarus, making her the only divine member of the Titans. Echidna is also the primary consort of the Goddess Ceto, together they birth horrific monsters into the world.
Because of Echidna’s reputation she is usually only referred to by epithets, such as “the Mother of Monsters” as to avoid invoking her or drawing her attention.
Echidna is not worshipped outside of specific cults.
