Glysaris, Goddess of the Forgotten
The Surta elf Glysaris Qirie was queen of Rhytam Island in the Costae Islands when her country was overrun by Segaii fleeing Damus during the Second Era of Evera. The Elves were caught off guard by the arrival of the conquerors and easily swept away their defenses. Glysaris pleaded to Narmiraen, offering her life in exchange for her people. However, the Dragon Goddess heard her prayers and raised her among the gods so that she could protect her people with her new power.
What happened after that, none of the goddesses expected. The followers of Glysaris rejected Narmiraen and founded a new Circle underground, where they fled from the Segaii. They believed that Narmiraen had turned away from them and that only the self-sacrifice of Glysaris had protected them. The number of believers only increased with the number of refugees. After a few years, they tried to convince the Surta elves who survived the campaigns to join their Circle, what is led to bloody fights. In the eyes of Narmiraen's Circle, apostate elves became cursed, and banished from their lands. Bena elves were universally despised until the Fifth Era of Evera.
To avoid further fighting, Glysaris opened portals to the Elemental plane of Fire, where her followers could join her, enjoying the protection of Demon Lord Catraya. Most took the opportunity, others stayed in the Core and waited for all the Elves to turn their backs on Narmiraen.

What a surprise! Great story of how this rift was formed between the dieties and off-shoot religions were created!
Thank You!
