Circle of Glysaris
This elven religious sect was formed during the Second Era of Evera after Queen Glysaris was elevated to the gods by the Dragon Goddess.
The religion of the Bena elves, who call themselves cursed and the People of Glysaris, shows many parallels with the traditions of the Narmiron elves, even though there was no connection between the two groups. This shows that in the Second Era the general customs of the elves were even more uniform throughout Evera.
The Circle of Glysaris is a matriarchal church with a strict hierarchy, the head is the Prophet of Glysaris, a high priestess considered to be chosen by the Goddess. Four Prophets are currently known, one leading her people on the Elemental plane of Fire, and one each on the continent of Lifeon, the archipelago of Ilia Bay, and the Costae Islands.
Below the prophets are the high priestesses who lead the temples, followed by the priestesses and novices.
Their priestesses, just like common people, can have more than one spouse. Once the key to their survival, polygamy is now just a common practice, like slavery or presenting live sacrifices.
In the Circle of Glysaris, higher rank can only be obtained by the death of thr predecessor, so power struggles and intrigues within a temple are common.
Politikai Befolyás & Intrika
The Circle of Gylsaris on the Elemental plane of Fire begins to merge into the resurrected Church of Eternal Fire by the Fourth Era of Evera. The religion follows the former creator god of the plane, Drag'than. The demon lord Catraya, High Priestess of Drag'than and head of the order of the Red Sisters, promised Glysaris a place in Drag'than's pantheon, at the same time offering protection to the fleeing elves from the terrible wars on the Plane of Fire.
