The Conflict

Prelude

After the great crisis the unpopular house of hallsberg was ruling over the most ethnically diverse empire in the know world. As the armys started to return home, there was no celebration thousands had died and many can back mutilated and ill. It started with civil unrest and strikes across the empire which was crushed by the police. the lands of the crown saw no major unheval as it was ran byverianberguers and Germincs

The Engagement

szlski-The duchy of Szlski Was the first zone of major resistance. The revolutionary major general Alexander moraofski gathered former members of his 7th division some 7000 soldiers and lay siege to the brand new fortress of muganberg. on the way he recruited several thousand peasants and he know had a force of 9000 men. The young emperor Charles 4th frightened that the prophecy the seers had seen would come turn order the notorious general michal von haller (known for the violent crackdown of resistance and his war crimes during the great crisis in both setercha and the abrian provisions of the twin sultates. Lead a force of 25000 men had had the major general and his follows either imprisoned or executed after a short 5 hour battle. But this was only the beginning alexander was martyred and thousands of protestors marched on the ducal palace. The imperial viceroy ordered the 12th imperial guard regiment which was in the city at the time to come to the aid of his personal vice-royalty grenadiers. The confrontation turned bloody outside the gates and the new contationalist as they called themselves won out and the emperor granted them a connotation. The slzki army saw the bulk of the imperial army out leaving only 5th corp 15000 men in the country. There contention however bound them to the emperor who acted as duke of slzki. 
war of kaiser-The next to rise was jan 1st who fought the war of kiasiers against Charles. He would lose the war. The last two events in this time would come 2 years later. 
the recanik uprising-In the east strikes continued and the recaniks would use this after the kelzeen decree was declared and declared the kingdom of recanikika. They tried to get their king ion pasha to help them but he was a staunch imperialist and didn't want to drag the empire into a second war. The recaniks would however would get support by another rebellion the lathanian provinces of the empire rebelled and declared independence. The two would enter any uneasy alliance and the recaniks organized an army to march north to help there new allies. The lathuana army consisting of 50000 men of which 10000 were veterans of the crisis. The recaniks were able to link up with their allies. Only to find that the magaran army was on the way along with the 8th imperial army corp veterans of the war of kaisers. Charles would lead his army personally. The recanik revolutionary lead christan merinenscu took command of the joint recanik-lathaina army. Under army merinenscu had 40000 recanik mounted rifles. 40000 line infantry main lathianan, 100 cannon and mortars. His force had an elite unit the first baron guards or in this case baroness guards. It was made up of 2000 grenadiers. He also had 7000 ork mercenaries. The imperial army had 70000 men with 25000 cavalry of which 10000 was eleven cavalry. Merinenscu decided to take the initiative marching on the fort of demerca defeating its garrison and taking its commander hostage. He then decided that he would march north to the coast and seize the port of charlesstdht (named after Charles broadsword) they took it and sent word for help to the northern isle kingdom. Word came along with 10000 ‘volunteers’ along with 10 ice wizards. Charles instead of marching on the two homeland ordered his cavalry force to swing round the army flank and cut them off from their homes. This succeeded and charles would march his infantry army with a small contingent of light cavalry. The battle of charlestdht began in late summer and it started with an artillery bombardment. Chalres would then order his infarty to start moving on the city. Merinescu had ordered defenses be erected outside the city and 20000 of his men defended the ring of defenses around his city. He sent his orks forward to staule the enemy. He sent his massive cavalry force to attack the imperial cavalry in the hope of destroying them. Mean while he held his lines. The baroness guards attack the left wing of the imperial forces. They routed three battalions including the 3rd imperial guard a unit which had march triumphantly through the mortjizan capital. As night fell no ground had been gained or lost. Word however had come from the east. 7000 men were on the way and the baroness. The cavalry battle had also resulted in an alliance victory but half of his recanik cavalry was lost. But it wax his cavalry which returned the next morning. Christian decided to counter attack. He launched it across the coast road with is northern isle troops under there commander hans menzel. They struck the already battered left flank and was joined by the baroness guards and they turned the imperial army northern flank. Charles countered this with his remaining cavalry turning his flank back. Christian countered on the southern road with the rest with his army however the southern road was made up of bogs and forest and the infantry got stuck and elven rangers and magaran light infantry routed the first wave of alliance infantry. However, by midday the situation had stabilized .Charles decided to strike hard and not wait for the baroness reinforcements. In the center he attack the defenses of the city. The center cracked and the two attacking forces were encircled. However the 100 artillery pieces chrsitan had killed thousands of imperialists. The southern forces turned around and ran east. The baroness guards covered the northern army while it retreated to the city to defend one there leader and there route home. The recaniuk cavalry there thrown to the northern road and it smashed and dented the attacking forces turning it around. However the bulk of the army attacking along the center and southern roads were already at the inner defensive zone. Chirtian decided it would be best to turn what was left of his army east and meat up with the baroness. He was about to take the city garrison and turned when a letter came in the night to say the barones had been killed by her son and he as a staunch imperialism was leading 7000 to meet him with this news he ordered his army to lay down their arms. The battle had been a particularly bloody one. Chirtian and his revolutionary council were all executed along with 70 of his generals and chiefs. This rebellion would place more mistrust in the recaniks and the 14th regiment would be dispatched to destroy many towns. The baron who had killed his mother was removed and the land fully integrated into the crownlands.
