A Million Words of Ethnis

This year, WorldEmber is going to be very important to us. We have a whole bunch of content to slap out and a whole lot of goals to hit!

We are on the road to a Million!

We are setting an ambitious goal of hitting one million words within Ethnis by the end of World Ember. This will be no easy feat, breaching one million is going to require around 35000 words from both Ademal and Barron within a month.

We have other goals as well, usually we have a theme to our World Ember such as planets to explore, but this year we are leaving ourselves as open as possible so we don't run short of content to write about!

Where will the Words be going?

Relic

In case you haven't been in our Discord, Ademal has been working tirelessly to write an entire novella that we can publish for Ethnis. It's being live written now! But for Worldember, we will be working on all the companion articles: characters, creatures, and locations. (Landing Page)

Jhoutai

Barron's primary project is "Project Jhoutai," a compendium of creatures and regions native to the alien hub world of Jhoutai (Planet). Sometimes it's exciting to write about weird little mushrooms and freaky alien creatures, isn't it? (Landing Page)

Technology

One thing we get a lot of feedback about is the need to establish core technology that is common to Ethnis. Writing about all sorts of technological concepts within Ethnis should help us get words and establish the universe.

Figureheads

When we say Figureheads, we mean the leaders and power players in the major Banners. These people and entities are extremely powerful and unique, to the point of perhaps seeming alien. Writing them will be a fun and important challenge.

Banners

The factions of Ethnis, we will be taking on and expanding our Banners using our new learnings and toolset. While we already have some content for these Banners, it needs some polish and expansion to make them shine.

The WayHall

The WayHall is the critical technology and concept that allows intergalactic travel in Ethnis. Yet there are very few articles diving in depth into the logistics and mechanics to have the Wayhall works. Fleshing it out will be important.

Streams

As we've done almost every year, we plan on doing some streams to help us get our wordcount up through writing sprints. We also like to do it as it allows us to hang out with fellow creators and Ethnis fans to show off what we can do.

While we are not sure of every date yet, we plan on doing weekend streams for sure. Their length probably will be around two to four hours. We hope to see you on our Twitch. Make sure to follow so you don't miss out on the fun.
