Known as Murder to the Malisyk, Scorn was the Prisoner-God of the Paratheistic Malisyk Cult before both god and cult were destroyed by the Blood Snow Offensive.
According to Malisyk apocrypha, Murder was the distillation of the soul of the Mother Assassin, a tribal princess and goddess from the deepest Subnivean who abandoned her life and position after falling in love with a visiting prince. She had two children with him before learning he was courting another woman, and had already asked her to become his next wife. In a rage, she slew their children, the other women, and him before the King captured her, razed her village, and bound her soul to a sepulchre in the heart of the ruins.
The Malisyk later discovered it and nourished it by sacrificing the souls of the worthy to it—hollow scouts, defeated heroes, and deceased leaders. They considered it to be the living amalgam the souls of their dead—a UR-Spirit and Conscious Afterlife.
To commune with Murder and learn its will, the Soul of an Ash-Urn Oracle was exorcised and fed to it, resulting in Possession of the Oracle. The Oracle would be replaced every few years, as the Oracle succumbed to Mindshatter.

Author's Notes
The Mother Assassin is inspired by the myth of Medea, who (in Eurpides version of the myth) slays the two children she had with Jason after he deserted her. She had given her entire life to Jason, even deserting her homeland for him. She went on to kill his new fiance, and the fiance's father.
