Cosaline is a small fishing village located on the eastern coast of Syvahl. The village is located in the south east of the
Isylian Plains. The village is about a days ride from
Port Norsal. Though Cosaline is considered a small fishing village, there are a handful of very large estates located in the village that serve as vacation houses for some of the wealthier families in Port Norsal.
Social
Cosaline is a relatively small village, however, that does not mean it is a poor village or one lacking class. It's nearest large city is
Port Norsal, a large mercantile capital. Many of the denizens that have made up Cosaline are actually people from Port Norsal who have moved to the smaller village in order to get away from the hustle and bustle of the large city. The village also sees fairly regular visits from some of the higher class families of the city, coming to conduct business or have meetings in one of the available estates located around the main section of the village.
Politics
Cosaline itself does not deal much in politics. There is a mayor, a descendant of the village founder, who is in charge of managing the village. The mayors family, the Cosavils, are one of the higher class families in Port Norsal, thus they are tied into many of the same decision making processes of the large city. Outside of its own politics, Cosaline is a common place for political discussions and dealings from the ruling families in Port Norsal. They chose to come to Cosaline to make it harder for things to be overheard and spread throughout the city if they are.
Economy
Cosaline has a very good economy considering its size. This is largely due to its frequent wealthy visitors who come to the small village to either conduct private business or relax on the coast away from the large city. It is nearly a textbook definition of a tourist town.
