Briar Lake
The region of Briar Lake sits in the middle of the Northern Hills and has good farming land, rolling hills, and a small lake. Until recently it was controlled by the Woodhome Family but they had not developed it since being granted the land.

The mines were built in the year 437 and are expected to be a good source of iron, coal, and possibly silver. The ground in the region of Briar Lake has not been explored.
History
In the year 437 the land was granted by noble decree to an adventuring party that would become known as the Adventurers of the Briar. A group of Hodrim made their way to the land and asked for the right to farm it. So far the farms have not produced anything but basic food necessities.
A dozen dwarves of the The Towerguard Clanhave made their way to the region at the behest of the former member, Belnom Towerguard
