Anglon, Hallowed Dominion

Culture

The Anglonic are viewed as a very pious and religious culture, while that isn't the case always, it is certainly the biggest part of the population of Anglon.

History

Anglon was one of the first domains to be founded in 150 Origin Age. Founded by Spyrehead William, the King of Lighthelm, upon recent territorial expansion due to treaties and wars. It was decreed to be a confederation of Kingdoms, each ruled by a monarch, with each of them subservient to the Emperors of Lo, Don, and Hye Anglon.   Generations pass, and as the empires grew, it eventually discovered an island to the north, where a mysterious set of rings, glowing a bright golden yellow were seen floating. Soon after the Emperor of Don at the time, Peter II personally travelled to the golden rings, decreeing they were an artifact of God that was to be worshipped. A cathedral would be built on the island parallel to it, allowing for it to be viewed from a bridge.   In the years after its founding, plenty of other Domains, modelling themselves after Anglon had been founded. On the day now known as the 0th year of the Silver Age, the final Domain, Thamor was founded.   In the generations that followed, relations were built, some more rocky then others, Anglon found itself allied to a Domain to the West, Ithon. While they were in political tensions to the Domain of the South, Gathuram. These tensions came ahead on the 5th day of Terebery, 120 Silver Age, when war broke out between Gathuram and Anglon, Ithon joining in assistance. The war lasted until the 15th day of Werch, 121 SA, ending with the surrender of Gathuram, it sending gifts of peace to Anglon and Ithon.   On the 12th day of Frethune, 242 SA, the Emperor of Don Anglon decreed that a vault be built to preserve the regions artifacts that would else be lost to time.   In 785 Golden Age, a man claiming to be the Demigod of Light stepped into the borders of the domain, and begun to spread claims of his divinity, this would be the Hallowed Knight. He later would claim the Cathedral of the Golden Rings as his own, making it his base of operations.

The crest's orange circle represents the Grace-given Mace of William, used to defeat a great foe. The yellow circle behind represents the Grace.
Both circles can be interpreted as the two Suns, and in doing so gives the meaning of the Mace being as powerful as a sun or gifted by the Grace.

Non-aggression Pact (121 SA - beyond)
