Moon Festival

History

On a cloudless night, pilgrims from a war stricken capital camped in a silent wilderness. With dwindling food and firelight, all hope was lost to them. They cast their gaze to the full moon, its radiance blanketing the sweep of land they called a temporary home. They were hushed by an angelic melody that seemed to pierce through the devoid ocean of space, to reach their ears. It was the moon.   The song of the moon raised their spirits and calmed their souls, it was a symphony of peace. After a hushed slumber, the pilgrims were reinvigorated and sought to spread the word of the singing moon. A day was made to celebrate the story of the singing moon, now known as the Moon Festival. On that day, the towns and villages would go silent, so that they could hear the moon's song.
