The Cross Guardians

The Cross Guardians are a order of archers, Crossbowmen and throwing specialists who work in a majority support role with The Shields of Truth. Many of there members are crack shots and often work in smaller more maneuverable squads to aid the much larger and slower moving heavily armed and armoured front line troops.

Structure

The organization of the orders are all similar in that all of them follow a simple progression path. You begin as a squire to that of a full fledged knight. You are their aid, as they are your mentor. You learn from them. They in turn must allow you to teach them new things from your perspective. After a Squire has earned the right to be knighted, the Grandmaster of the order will grant them the honour and bestow upon them a Honorific. Being that of a Ser, sometimes those honorifics can be dependant on the order or the method in which they earned their knighthood.

This order of knights work as a supporting group for the other two orders The Shields of Truth and The Legion of the Justice Maker  they often find themselves at the behest of the Rangers of Bunumdum to aid in hunts or in control of the wildlife.
But their first call of duty is to protect the Triumvirate and work alongside the other orders, as they provide the ranged skill and support needed in any army.

Assets

With the largest collection of artillery pieces and ranged weapons in Atiria, the Cross Guardians are widely held in high regard by the other orders as they provide the needed support to the front line in both Ranged combat and medical and magical support.

History

Formed sometime after Atrias inital creation, the order was founded by a group of individuals who noted the lack of any real support to the other soliders in the rebellion against the Tyrant and Tiamut. They began to look at the problems in the lack of support, so they decided to fill that hole with their own talants.
Forming the Cross Guardians under the leadership of a unknown and forgotten individual, they began to spread themselves to the varied combat zones and began to aid those who needed it, with volleys of arrows and mending hands.
