Light
Overview
Light is the primordial force of light, sky, and day. They are known as Light, the Twin of Darkness, or Light, the Ruler, and sometimes as Light, the Queen of the Primordials. They are the oldest offspring of Void and the twin of Darkness. They are the parent of Raknor by Fire, Lyrina and Zelfroc by Darkness, Elunara and Meloria by Life, Zilberic by Death and Sethyra by Xyphria.
Description
Light is not known to have a physical form. When depicted in art or stories, they are described as a ray of light, often golden and silver at the same time, but always bright. Patriarchal societies often associate a female energy with Light and call them "she," while referring to Darkness with the masculine pronoun.
History
Most mythologies agree that Light is one of the first beings to ever exist, either the first primordial brought into existence by Mother Void or the second primordial, but certainly one of the twins born by Void.
Darkness and Light are often interpreted as the Rulers of the Primordials and are the only two amongst the Primordials who could be interpreted as being "married," even if this marriage is an open one based on their offspring with many other divine beings. Their offspring's domains often have to do with visual elements of life and include Fire & Sun, Trickery & Illusions, Luck & Prosperity, Moonlight & Marriage, Music & Celebration, Knowledge & Curiosity and Wisdom & Transformation
Relevance
Like all Primordials, Light is not actively involved in mortal affairs, nor are they revered or prayed to. There are no temples to Light, nor does any religion honour them specifically. They are accepted as a fundamental force of the universe. While sometimes viewed as benevolent due to their bright connotations, Light has never acted to aid creation.
Relationships
Sometimes I am the Sun.
Sometimes I am the Moon.
But I am always Light.
