Dandelon

Dandelon is a Large City and is one of the primary stops on the Verdant Road. Dandelon is sometimes referred to as the City of Stone. In its early days, Dandelon's primary industry was the local quarries and send quality stone all over the kingdom. While the quarries still do a significant trade the trade route has brought many other industries to Dandelon and greatly increased its population. With the abundance of inexpensive stone, the city is built out of it and the roads are not dirt but stone or gravel.   Dandelon has 5 primary Districts each governed by one of the 5 Mages     Whitewood Village Arcanist Fey Writingham Notable Places: The Merchant's Guildhall: A grand timber and brick building, decorated with finely carved gargoyles. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds. The Dog and Flask: A modest commoner's inn, built within what was once a minor temple. Anyone who enters the inn is met by a dog companion, who serves and entertains them while they remain. The Stout Fool: A large adventurer's tavern, said to be haunted by the ghost of an arch-wizard. The Golden Lamp: Temple of Anycira:     Greater Court District Arcanist Carrac McKinnon Notable Places: An ancient temple ruins, said to lie atop catacombs filled with long-forgotten treasures. The Harper's Cellar: An elegant commoner's inn, known for the ghosts which haunt its halls. The bloody hammer: A modest commoner's tavern, kept by a brass dragon named Bidi. Lincoln's Lights:   Hart's Farthing Arcanist Amas Aldaviel Notable Places: The Lightning Tree: This tall tree seems to be struck by lightning in every storm, and its bark bears countless intricate burn scars. The Demon and Toad: A modest dwarven tavern, which serves only gin. The Shrine of Aradhel: A bronze statue of Aradhel, Lady of Death, surrounded by a ring of broken columns. The Muscled Newborn:   Market     Rogue's Ward Arcanist Maria Hillless Notable Places: The Odeum of Liosanos: A two-story theatre of half-timbered walls, said to be built upon the ground where a sidhe noble was betrayed and murdered. Saucy Swineherd Tavern: across An overgrown temple ruins, which appears restored upon the night of the new moon. The Shrine of Findiser: A stone lantern enshrining the flame of Findiser, Goddess of Strength, surrounded by a neglected garden. Filda's Boarding House: A 10 room boarding house in a rough part of the Ward The Barber: A neglected adventurer's inn, where the barkeep offers haircuts.   Stone Borough Arcanist Thori BlackBender Notable Places: The Knave and Blade: A heroic elven tavern, said to be built atop an ancient dungeon. The Drunken Wench: A grand dwarven tavern, said to be a front for the Thieves' Guild. Narvi's Pewter: A neglected pewtersmith's workshop, built within what was once the feast hall of a long-ruined castle.
