Bright Moore

BrightMoore is a continent west of the Sea of Storms. It is one of the largest continents of Eatta and the ancestral home of humanity and other humanoid races of Eatta. The first humans of these lands called their home the land of Cold Winds. These lands were situated South of the Dunwarick Forest and in between the Cold Wind hills of the West and the Wolf Mountains of the East. Under the tutelage and guidance of the West Wind Conclave and the Dragon Scholars they set out to explore to learn what these lands had to offer and to settle new areas within the Cold Winds Region and outside of it. This led to the early foundations and founding’s of the regions that would later make up the DUNWARICK KINGDOM.     KALDWIND Those who explored the Cold Winds region learned very quickly how to build boats and to navigate the rivers and forest around them. This exploration was not with out danger for as the people moved east, they encountered the wild beast that also call the region home and the monsters from beyond the Wolf Mountains that would sometime enter the region. For a time, the people of this region were content with settling the Cold Wind hills and founded a city at the confluence of the rivers. They called this city KaldWall, as it was the furthest point any east most people dared to travel and became a defensive point against the beast and monsters from traveling to the Cold Wind Hills. KaldWall would soon become a center of trade as travelers and explores and adventures from the Banner lands arrived by boat soon after its completion. Not all were content with KaldWall being the end. Brave adventures, hunters and travelers from the Cold Winds and the Banner Lands rallied to the call to adventure and glory by Robin Kaldwind, the son of the leader of Kaldwall. Over the years of the Dragon Age Robin Kaldwind lead expeditions deeper and deeper into the Cold Winds Forest pushing further and further east clearing both beast and monsters until they reached the base of the Wolf Mountains. The expedition founded a fortress at a gap in the Wolf mountains where the Wolf River cut through it. They named this fortress the Wolf Gate and this fortress stood as a guardian to keep the beast and monsters from beyond the Wolf Mountains at bay. A Great city was also founded the city of Dunwall. Dunwall like KaldWall was heavily fortified and made to stand against the beast and monsters that roamed beyond the Wolf Mountains. In time trade routes and roads were built and established connecting Dunwall to kaldwall. By this time Robin Kaldwind was made king and the region renamed KaldWind.   The Banner Lands Situated north of the Wolf Coast and beyond the Dunwarick Forest, is a stretch of coastline with the sea to its east and mountains to the west. This area would late be known as The Banner Lands is the ancestral home of many of the humanoid races that populate Brightmoore. It was home of multiple clan and nomads who carved out a living fishing, trading, hunting, and surviving. Each clan carved out its own territory and did their best to survive. The Clans united to send explores down rive beyond the mountains into the Forest beyond. These explores eventually came across the city of Kaldwall and trade was established between the city and the clans of the banner lands. For a time the Dunwarick River was the only safe means to travel to and from the Banner Lands.   BAYMAR While Kaldwall was being built others opted to travel west over the Cold Wind Hills to the Sunset Coast and south by the rivers. These people traveled to the coast and turned south and east as to the north was a swamp, they named the Frost Wind Swamps. Those who traveled south found the land where two rivers that ran through the KaldWind region met the sea at a bay. They named this area Lions Bay after the lions they found there. They founded a small trading post and called it Lions Bay market. These people used boats to travel the rives north with goods and the news of the coastline. Some traveled North by foot and found a very lush jungle. They named this Jungle Lions Pride and founded a city in the jungle they named Lions Keep. After the founding of Lions Keep. Travelers pushed further south and east. They traveled over the Lions Peaks and found a city on the shores of a bay they named Wolfs Bay. They named the city Wolf Port. In time this region would be called BayMar after the first settlement. In Baymar the people learned to sail the sea and travel the coastline while also learning how to mine for ore and create great works of art, weapons and armor. These artworks and creations were further enhanced by the gift of crystals from the dragons.   Reon From KaldWall great caravans traveled north into the badlands and beyond. These people opted for a nomadic lifestyle for a time and they became the first traveling merchants and carnivals of Brightmoore traveling from KaldWall to Lions Bay Market and later the Felwinds region. Eventually the largest band of travelers the Reon Carnival opted to settle around a lake Royeaul. Two cities were founded on the shores of the lake. To the west Laeon to the east Vax Royeaul. After Laeon and Vax Royeaul were settled great academies of art and performance were created in both cities and a gondal system created to facilitate travel across the lake as more and more carnivals and merchant caravans stopped their roaming and settled into the cities. But as they saying goes the show must go on and in time the carnivals and merchant caravans started up once again and brought music, fun and joy to all of Bright more and then Eatta.   Felwinds From the Kaldwind Region and other people traveled north further and further into the cold and frost. These travelers became the first clans of the Felwinds. These clans were independent of each other for many generations. A leader rose up amongst them Alloy Felwind. She united the clans and founded the first major settlements of the region named after her family. Few of these settlements would survive the Age of Storms and the people of the Felwinds would in part once again take up their nomadic lifestyle while the city of ALLOY would remain a rallying point for all the clans and a center of trade. The Seiðr a group rumored to be useres of vanir rune magic are the defacto leaders and guardians of the Felwinds, they do not contest the kingdom of dunwaricks athority or rights to the felwinds nor do they overly interfear with the dady to day lives of those in the felwinds. Instead they flex their might and athroity when needed especasilly when it comes to vanir and Age of Storms ruines and artifaces and have actively discuraged expostitions into the frozrn wilds and the cut.     The Dunwarick Kingdom Many years after the regions of Bright Moore were established and settled trade, commerce laws and currency were established between them. The leaders of the regions met at the Dunwarick Forest and sought the council from Daren the Wise, who was leader of the west wind council. After much debate and negotiations, the leaders of Kaldwind, Reon, Baymar and the Felwinds decide to unify as one kingdom under one ruler. The representative from the bannerlands politely declined the offer to unify as the clans of the Banner Lands had long valued their independence and self-reliance. This new unified Kingdom was named after the forest the West Wind Conclave called home and a red griffion was selected as the kingdoms symbol in honor of Daren the Wise and his griffons. Tatian Kaldwind was named the First Queen of the Dunwarick Kingdom. She and her blood line ruled the Kingdom for many years, with honor, dignity, and humility. It was at the time of unification that the Kingdom of Dunwarick started to explore the seas and encounter and trade with the other races of Eatta that lived on the Tri Islands and beyond.   History of Dunwarick Kingdom Founding Day was celebrated far and wide, and the crowning of Queen Tataian Kaldwind coincided with the foundation of the capitol of Dunick near the Dunwarick forest. Over time the city was completed, and unified laws, currency and other details were worked out. The Dunwarick kingdom experienced an age of peace, wealth, and enlightenment under the rule of its new Queen and the guidance of the West Wind Conclave. Magic and artistry reached new heights during this time in thanks to the tutelage of the Dragons and the use of crystals.   Years later under the rule of King Henrick an expedition was founded and sent to the Wolf Coast with the West Winds Conclaves blessing. The fate of the expedition was not known for many years for soon after its departure the Dragons of the West Wind Conclave under Daren the Wise ordered the people of the Dunwarick Kingdom to sequester them selves in their cities. The age of storms had begun and lasted for 50 years. When the Storms has subsided the people of the Dunwarick kingdom rebuilt and reclaimed what was once lost. They also discovered that the expedition they had sent to the wolf coast had not only survived but thrived and created a new nation unified with the Bannerlands and had claimed orc and dwarf settlements established prior to the age of Storms. After some brief negotiations the nations unified The Felwinds region was the most changes as most of its majors cities were lost bar Alloy and a few settlements further south. The Felwinds region has no one ruler but has multiple seats in the House of regents but one vote the closes thing the felwinds has to a government is a council of magic wielders called Seiðr.   Hoard war: The Dunwarick kingdom like the rest of Eatta was caught unaware at the start of the Hoard War. And was shocked at the brutality and swiftness that the Hoard attacked the nations areoun SEREN . While it was on firnedly terms with many of the nations it opted to remined “neutral” due to internal political pressure, but the nation did take in refugees, sent humanitarian aid and military advisers to nations effected by the war. After the events on Claimed island where Hord forcers attempted to pit the tri island nations and The Dunwarik Kingdon against each other, it was decide that the Dunwarick could no longer sit on the side lines.   Post War: With the war over peace returned to Eatta and to Broghtmoore, but war has a way of chanaging things. Princess Lillian Kaldwind was crowned queen and wed Peter hezler her long time love and adventuring partner. Together the had two children, Kara the oldest and Delia the youngest and ruled during a time of renewal, peace and prsoperity. Sadly Queen lillan Kaldwind pass away, propelling King Hezler as the ruler and leader of Broghtmoore. His rule was not witout its controversy. Rumoers of infadelity and a thrid secert heir to the throne made their way from the royal courts to the people. Some went as far as to name Abigail Grimm desendent of the founder of the city of Mactireban and once rulers of the Wolf Coast as the person King hezler had an affair with and that her daughter Virgina Grimm was heir to the throne of the Dunwarick kingdom. The rumors took a dark turn in 668 DA on the 17 day of the Month of fire, the royal carrage carring Kara & Delia Hezler and Vrigina Grimm was attacked in the city of Macterban. Multiple city guards, Kings Guard of Dunwarick , Queens Rangers and civilians were injured or killed in this attacks. Kara Hezler and her personal bodyguard Zel Hyren fell from the bridge they were lost and presumed dead. This was just the start of a conspirasy lead by Albus Grimm  brother of Abigal Grimm and former canidate for govener. This conspisracys plan was to discred the king and lay the blame on Abigal Grimm as the head of an effort to discredit the king and "liberate" the wolf coast from the Dunwarick kingdom, allowing Albuis to swoop in and play the hero and inact ancient treaties that wiould once again give the wolf cooast its independance. Thankfully the adventuers from the Royal Daggers uncovered this consipracy and cosperitors but were unable to stop Albuis griimm from launching an attack on Macterban resulting in armed conflict. This culminated with a direct assult on the King and the Lux Magister Ar Lvae and theft of the The Silver Lantern of Lumina. Peace has been restored Kara Hezler has been found and the co conspirtoers have been punshised howerer Albuis Grimm is still at large and a substancial bounty is on his head.
