Kings Guard of Dunwarick

The kings Guard of Dunwarick is the elite shock trooper and body guard unit assigned to the King and royal family of Dunwarick. They act as body guards during times of peace and as elite shock troopers in times of war or conflict.
The guards are selected by the king/royal family, these are usually people who have had combat experiences in the Dunwarick Military or other other military outfits. The candidates are trained in Kings Guard fighting styles and shock trooper warfare.
Candidates wishing to be take on the role of Royal bodyguard must first complete Kings Guard training and shock trooper training. Then they must compete in an organized tournament against fellow candidates the rules and requirments dictated by the Royal family at the time. After one candidate is victorious they have to face one last test. Zel Hyren had to fight three of the kings guard right after finishing the tournament of 50.     
After the last candidate completes the final test they are named the royal body guard and given their assignment by the royal family and additional training as they royal family sees fit.

Composition

Manpower

The Kings Guard is division consisting of 10,000–25,000. The actually duties of protecting the King falls to 100 members of the Kings Guard at any given time. This number increases if there is a known or suspected thereat. In the pass the Kings Guard was made up of only humans. In recent years the Kings Guard has seen the addition of almost all races, this is due to the fact that King Peter Hezler lead a mixed company during the Hoard War before he was king.

The Kings Guard is know by its Red Uniforms and armor.

Lord Commander is Hollander Grey of the Grey Warden clan. Lord Commander is the leader of the Kings Guard. Second Commander is the second in command of the Kings guard
Centurion is the rank of officers of the Kings Guard
Guard is the lowest rank of the Kings Guard.
