The Wosterhiem Continent

Nordlande The Northeastern part of Wosterhiem is a rugged country. With the Lapland Peninsula branching off and ending at the Fimbϋlwinter Straits. Beginning here is the western coastal range known as the Sleeght Mountains, which range all the way to Southron. On the eastern side of this region is another range known as the Greyback mountains, which end in their own peninsula in the frozen North. The Jarlstooth Bay comes down from the Arctic ocean and ends between the two ranges in a wide hill country. To the South of this hill country is the Sidon desert which counts as the border between Nordlande and Southron. Southron The Southron region is a large peninsula, hanging from between the Sleeght and Greyback ranges. A wide valley runs through width of the land, forming a fertile bowl of farm land. As the land rises to the South it forms the Fetid highlands. Then it collapses into the Sea in a mountainous jungle known as the Rift. As the rift deepens into the sea, It forms the rift islands, lawless forbidden jewels in the sea. Wildeast East of the Greyback mountains is a heavily forested land that has only been explored by Elves and Gnomes. The land mass itself is the largest of the regions, but the least is known of it. for all we know there could be an inland sea waiting to be discovered.

Geography

The continent known as Wosterhiem is a large and laterally wide landmass on our world. Located in the northern hemisphere, it is bordered by the Arctic, Cyclopic, and Verdant oceans. Its biomes are diverse, featuring woodlands, jungles, plains, deserts, alpine, tundra and arctic zones.

Fauna & Flora

Wosterhiem is the native home to many creatures. It is also believed to be the point of genesis for both the Elven and Gnomish peoples. Early in its history it was first colonized by the Gnomes and later the nomadic Elven tribes. In modern times, it is home to many peoples, Humans and dwarves arriving out of the west from Stygland and with Halflings making an exodus from Pallan around 215 RA.
