Junior member of the Gods Declarant fraternity becomes the Darkness and secretly infects the Birch Keeper in Wosterhiem.

Imithoy Wrenton, a gifted wizard and warlock suceeds in securing a deal with the voidlord Ser-Naggoth which saw him take the form of a black ooze capable of retaining his intelligence as well as infecting life. It then sought out the Birch Keeper in Wosterhiem and succeeded in infecting and eventually possessing him.
