Xenades is one of the Archangels of Sanctum and a member of the High Council of Sanctum. Xenades was born during The Godswar, a loyal servant of the Lady Arishanne. After her death, Xenades joined the newly formed High Council, and stepped up as a ruler of The Light after the truce negotiated by Bahamut between Helmvor and Tisrendel. Since then Xenades has been a constant presence on the battlefields of the Nether Abyss.

Xenades is an interventionist Archangel, often interfering in the affairs of the Elder Races. As such, he has cultivated a relatively large following in the Known Realms, but much more specifically on Earedar. He often communes with his followers, and is one of the most venerated of the Archangels amongst paladins. Xenades led the campaigns against both Savanne and Azreal, leading to the ouster of them both from the Council, and Azreal's fall.

Xenades defended Earedar during the Infernal Crusade, landing at the Holy City of Ombria and helping defend the Dragon Coast and the Khakari Wildlands against Baphomet. Xenades is famed for fighting Baphomet to a draw in single combat in the skies above the Trollmoors. Xenades gained a reputation as a ferocious warrior and cunning general, but he is perhaps most famous for his assistance in founding the Oathsworn. Brought together with Helmvor and Tisrendel by Sidriel, together the three of the formed The Triumvirate, and their followers founded the Oathsworn at Illidion during the Crusade. This order would become the largest and most famed of all brotherhoods of paladins, and was a brutally effective fighting force against The Shadow. Since the end of the Crusade Xenades has set down to the business from giving guidance to the Oathsworn from afar, as well as ravaging demonic hordes on the battlefield.

Faiths, Cults and Organizations

Church of Light- The Church is the largest and most powerful religious organization in the Known Realms. Most popular amongst the Elder Races, the Church is dedicated to the preservation of the Light's teaching and subservience to the Lady's will. They protect the weak, attend to the poor, and are a beacon of hope in times of darkness. While sometimes this mission can be lost or corrupted within the Church, they still hold great influence over most of Earedar. There are many smaller orders and fraternities within the Church, the most well-known being the Oathsworn.
High Council of Sanctum- The ruling council of Sanctum, the High Council rules over the forces of the Light across the Known Realms. Their leader is Araneos, Archangel of Honor and Protector of the Realms. All followers of the Light recognize him as the leader of our Lady's Church, and the reach of the council extends across known space.
The Brotherhood of the Oathsworn- The largest order of paladins with the Church of Light, while independent of the Church the Oathsworn functions as the military arm of that entity. This brotherhood of knights was founded during the Infernal Crusade by followers of Tisrendel, Helmvor and Xenades. These three entities form what is known as the The Triumvirate.
