Aceti

Only about ten people alive know how to speak and write Aceti fully, and very little has survived history regarding this ancient language. It is known that it was spoken by giants in the time before the The Cataclysm. We also know that the giants did not write the language very often. The only known examples of the writing are etched into weapons, armor, trinkets, and stone. The best known examples are carved into the Gate to the Sky in the Dark Lands. It is written in Dragons and Giants a History of Our Masters that the giants did not write Aceti often because of the power it contains. There are also tales of the goddess Katia giving giants the language and imbuing it with her powers. The true story of however or whoever gave the alphabet powers is unclear, but its validity can not be denied.

There are some master craftsman in the world that know of this power and practice the art of Rune Magic. This is especially true of the master artisans of the Crimson Kingdom. Tales tell of Nightlanders finding treasure troves of details on Aceti are widely known and retold. As a matter of fact Grand Master Khourgrock Onyxmaul is said to have had the lessons passed on to him by his master, his master before him, and so on.
