Nightlanders

As everything in the Dark Lands went under the surface. The Ash Elves, Shadow Gnomes, Dark Dwarf, and Cinder Goliaths in the area joined together. This was originally achieved by the Crimson Concord. As time went on the bonds between these races became stronger and stronger. Now after Millenia if the physical differences were not so different you whould have no idea they were from different races.

Common Dress code

During the ritual ceremonies is the only time the Nightlanders adhere to any kind of dress code. During this time, Men will generally only wear short trousers and other adornments. The women of the clan will dress in bikinis with embellishments.

Art & Architecture

Without much natural light to see within the region, visual arts have taken a back seat to performance arts. With the art of dance their highest form of art, followed closely by music and song. Dance is used as much in their rituals as it is in their combat. Even the bulky goliaths and the stout dwarves of this culture are excellent dancers. Along with the dance, music is played by a combination of wind, string, and percussion instruments. Many of the ritual dances incorporate blades and whips into the dance.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

To the Nightlanders, the shape and form of the body and the way it moves is one of the highest forms of beauty. The dances of this culture highlight the flexing and movement of different muscles, in combination with the ritual fires lighting the dances enhances this even further.

Gender Ideals

Nightlanders are a matriarchal society with women holding all positions of power. Even in their major religion Children Of The Prophecy only women are allowed to be clergy. Men are treated as equals to women in most areas except where it comes to leadership.

Relationship Ideals

Nightlanders do not believe in any custom like marriage. To them, you should be free to love who you want to love. Groups or pods of individuals will generally form, creating their family units. It is not uncommon for individuals to move from pod to pod. Interspecies relationships are prevalent even if no children can be born of the union.
