Gnomes are said to be the oldest of the sapient species of Dungar even before Dragons. Unfortunately like most things from before the The Cataclysm  not much is known about those original gnomes besides a few myths and legends that have survived through the myriad of years.

Common Myths and Legends

The legend goes that one day long ago Ghunsyn, Goddess Of The Land had a headache and in frustration cracked her head open and pulled out the first gnomes. So glad the pain had stopped she smiled upon the young race and helped it on its way.
