Old friends in Formene Report

General Summary

After contending with a troll it was time for the Five Fingers of Dorwine to return to the safety of Formene, reunite with Mehmen Ashid and work out their next steps. A restful evening allowed most of the group to fully recover from their battle on the shores of Wurm Lake. But not Badalona Ailendogs. In the return journey to Formene he had learnt the folly of riding a giant boar without the correct tack and so, the next morning, he was eager to get himself a saddle. 
General consensus steered the heroes towards Zwick & Sons where they unexpectedly encountered two former travelling companions. As Hands of the Order of the Star Leaf Amafrey Windriver and Maly Lete were on a mission for the Order of the Star Leaf. They informed the party that Starleaf Vale and Darknook were well an truly under siege from the spiders in the Llangoed Forest. The Vale was surrounded and Darknook was soon to be besieged by the ever-increasing number of monstrous spiders spilling out of the Forest. 
Realising how dire things were looking galvanised the party and they resolved to press on without any further delay to the Ashen Hills and a hopeful reunion with Andro Ashid. Before leaving the establishment of the bickering Zwicks the party was able to assist Amafrey and Maly by providing them with some necessary ingredients to complete their order with the gnomes. A number of manticore testicles were required to complete a set of magical leather armour and the group had only just been given some at Malvia’s Emporium a few days ago. With the Hands unable to wait to collect the armour the Five Fingers have promised to pick up the goods and take them back to the Vale on their return trip. 
With that the Five Fingers of Dorwine began the 3 day trip to Marsahurst, the Ashen Hills and hopefully some answers to the problems in the Llangoed. As the end of the first day on the road dawned the heroes were able to step in to prevent a dwarf from being killed by a trio of monstrous hyena. Why the dwarf as under attack and where the hyena came from is yet to be revealed...
