Thomas Marchant (a.k.a. that strange boy)
You won't necessarily get the same backstory twice but you'll have the idea the parents he mentions sound like humans and worked hard, he became involved in an itinerant circus/freak show (Alexander Face’s Travelling Circus & Menagerie) and there was one bard (possibly a noble slumming it for some reason) who trained him in the craft.

Has the kind of soft face fair people can have that lacks disinguishing features, with a cowlick (or natural emo fringe) of blond hair falling across it. Unless he doesn't.

Thomas often wears a reversible hooded cape, madder-red one one side and woad-blue on the other.
He has bought a flute to play and use as a mgical focus. It has a built in flick knife.

Thomas was raised by human parents.
Aliod, the Archivist at Starleaf Vale, who has the trick of knowing names, says Thomas also has the name Aniel.
His sister is in Hoofals.
