Order of the Star Leaf

Many centuries ago a leaf shaped crystal fell from the sky. The site where it fell has now been turned into a Druidic grove and is the home of the Order of the Starleaf. Although small the Order of red-robed druids has a secret from many. They are also an order or assassins.
The membership of the order is evenly split between Priests (druids) and Hands  (assassins). The Hands are the operational arm of the order and can seldom found in Starleaf Vale. They specialise in the use of natural poisons and seek to destroy those who interfere with nature.
The Order stands at only 40 and is currently lead by Eilnala Horineth. Whilst the druids worship in their grove they are administratively based in The Hollow Tree in the centre of Starleaf Vale

Structure

The Order is not particularly hierarchical, especially as it is so small. The leader sits as first among equals and Priests and Hands have equal say in decisions made.

Culture

The Order are vehement and militaristic defenders of nature. Some would see them as fanatical terrorists, some would see them as guardians of nature. The truth lies somewhere in between. Whilst they mainly exist to fight unnatural corruptions of nature their zeal can steer them to take punitive action against “regular” folk who fail to care for nature. This zealotry has them more feared than admired in many circles.
Regardless of their individual place on the continuum of zealotry all members of the Order are vegetarians and most Priests are strict vegans.

Public Agenda

The Order exists as an extreme organisation to protect nature. Whilst the priests work to heal and protect it, the Hands work to remove those who would threaten nature.

Divine Origins

The Order began as worshippers of Ellah, Goddess of Plants but morphed into general nature worshippers (including Amenity) and defenders of the natural world after the Star Leaf fell to earth.
Of all The Gods of Dorwine they are closest to Amenity and Ellah and many members of the Order first worshipped these goddesses.
