History

The Great Imperial Seal of Taiko Da Song was originally the Ancient Imperial Seal of Zhu Senyon. After the The Battle for Sendoshi, the emperor of Senyon and leader of the Zhu family committed suicide, and the defender of Sendoshi, Yixing-Jiumin Linsen took the imperial throne, ending the reign of the Zhu family and establishing the Yixing-Jiumin family as rulers of Senyon until the present time.   After the suicide of the Zhu emperor, Yixing-Jiumin Linsen had the imperial seals returned to Sendoshi from Senyosa, where the Zhu emperor had fled and where he ended his own life. Of the several imperial seals, the Ancient Seal of Zhu Senyon was the most precious and important. It is the official seal of the emperor, superseding all others. Anything stamped with it carries the weight of an imperial decree. Given that it was no longer held by the Zhu family, and as a member of the Azmasanmanne people, Yixing-Jiumin Linsen renamed it the Great Imperial Seal of Taiko Da Song. It has been passed down over for over 300 years from Yixing-Jiumin Linsen to the current emperor, Emperor Yixing-Jiumin Jinsen.   Though it was held by the Zhu emperors of Senyon before being taken by the Yixing-Jiumin family, the seal was carved long before the Zhu family dynasty. According to the Grand Imperial Historians of the Great Sacred Empire, as recorded in The Book of History of the Great Sacred Empire, the seal was carved by artisans of early Sendoshi for one of the earliest rulers of the city, Wei Qingtai, who expanded the borders of the area held by Sendoshi, conquered Seitoshi, and established the state now known as Senyon. Legends say the block of jade from which the seal was carved originally was found along a river in the mountains north of Koyon near a great Elvirim city and the lair of a Dragon. No one knows how that block of jade got to Sendoshi.

Significance

The Great Imperial Seal of Taiko Da Song is a symbol of the legitimacy of the rule of Emperor of Senyon over the country. The people of Senyon believe that whoever possesses the seal has the approval of the Safirim to rule the country.
