Son of Thaddeus Botts Botts, founder and CEO of T. Botts & Children, Co.
Thaddeus Jr. learned about his sister Laurelia Botts indiscretions. He did not condone her illegal dealings and threatened to tell their father about it.
Before the affair could develop further Laurelia vanishes. Thaddeus feels guilty.
When he hears about the Granger family scandal and the illegal magical device involved, he is worried, that it is one of his sister's contraptions. He wants to get his hands on the object. A member of the extended Botts Family alerts him to the object being taken to the Investigation Bureau.
He has no clue how to steal something, so he asks someone, he perceives as more knowledgeable about the ways of the world, Panana Nackle, to procure the Phantasmal Projector.
When the heist goes terribly wrong, with violent fighting and Panana getting seriously injured, Thaddeus is devasted. His situation gets worse after the RBI starts investigating T. Botts & Children, Co. and interrogate him and his father. He is so desperate, that he decides to commit suicide to atone for his guilt, but also to try to keep dishonour from his Clan. He writes a fake confession, taking all the blame for the affair and then prepares to kill himself in his office during the night. He is stopped, however, by Slava and Erivan. They persuade him to come clean and not to do anything stupid.
After the averted attack on the Parade during the Silver Celbrations, Thaddeus actually rises to his role as the leader of the Botts Clan. He works together with the authorities, keeps his father from breaking down, organizes legal help for his sister Laurelia and for Panana and decides to go on an offencive marketing campaign to steer the company away from the dangerous Ethirium Force Technology, back to its Gnomish roots, Gnomish Tinkering the Brzzwick way.
He also offers marriage to Panana, partly out of guilt, partly because he always had a crush on her.

Even though Thaddeus, together with his sister Laurelia Botts, is going to inherit the company of their father, he had to work hard to prove his capability of actually running the business. He started working at T. Botts & Children, Co. right after school and rose to the ranks business because of his talent for dealing with numbers and strategic thinking.

He is now Vice President of T. Botts & Children, Co. and responsible for finance, logistic and materials.
