Nyrack (Nigh-rack)

This crossroads village is perfectly placed to accommodate travellers and adventurers traversing the Enth Road between Yateham Creek and Enthmere, being roughly halfway between the two, but also to pick up travellers from Moleton, Sunbury and Cowes coming south down the West Daly Road.  As such, although it is not large, it has a wider range of amenities than would typically be seen in the villages around the area, and its residents are almost evenly split between farmers, hunters and service providers.
It sits in the perfect transition zone between the tall grasses of the Malen Dauen plains and  the grazing lands of the Lost Horse plains, and reaps the benefits from both.

Government

Village Alderman reporting to Enth Province

Defences

Decent sized Village Guard, better at keeping an eye on drunks than chasing off monsters.

Industry & Trade

A significant number of farms line the outskirts of the village, growing a variety of crops.  Cattle and sheep roam the Lost Horse Plains on the far side of the West Daly Road, and hunters stalk the grasses of the Malen Dauen Plains.  There is a thriving trade and service industry, too, and youngsters have a wide array of choices for careers here.

Tourism

Four or five decent inns rub shoulders with a number of cheaper taverns, and there is a general store, blacksmith, trading post and daily market, as well as a butcher, greengrocer and baker.  All of these are arranged around an attractive village square, with small streets stretching back from the square in all directions, most terminating at a small farm.

Architecture

The majority of buildings are low stone cottages with large gardens set up for socialising, but the buildings around the village square tend to be larger, 2-3 story tall wood and stone affairs.  Thatched roofs are the norm, although it is not unusual to see a few of the older turf roofs still hanging on here and there.  The cobblestone road leading through the centre of the village is wide and well kept, and most side streets are pounded gravel or small pebbles.
