Brecksville (Br-ex-vill)
This small village sits a little way off the Great West Road, and isn't really much of a point of interest other than to smugglers and traders. Perched high on the cliffs above Brecksville Bay as it is, residents are usually the first to spot flotsam and jetsam from ships wrecking along the length of coast, and even faster to get to it for looting.
They have a thriving relationship with the Thieves Guild in Enthmere, with the various pirates and cutthroats stopping in to offload spoils or pick up some of the more unusual items looted.

Government
Alderman is chosen every 5 years, mainly to report "taxes" to the provincial council and do any needed bureaucracy. Despite there being a small moot every 5 years, the same alderman has currently been in place for 50 of those years.
Defences
No formal defences, although most townsfolk are of a hardy and adventurous nature, and are very capable of defending them and theirs is if comes to it.
Industry & Trade
"Salvage" brings in the most money and goods to the village, although most residents keep a kitchen garden of some kind to grow greens and raise rabbits and chickens for food. Fishing and hunting are the most common professions.
Infrastructure
A blacksmith and tavern are the only real businesses here, with most other needs being filled via trade or barter.
Assets
Usually has a decent stash of preserved food, weapons, gold and more depending on what has been taken out of the wrecks recently, but it is well hidden and varies seasonally.
Guilds and Factions
The Alderman has the clearest steer on overall village priorities, but smaller matters are settled by agreement between individuals. The Enthmere Thieves Guild has an intermittent but strong presence in the village, with the Provincial Council almost never represented.
History
There has been a village on these cliffs for nearly 1000 years, and throughout that entire time it has been home to 'breakers', or those deliberately luring ships into the dangerous shores in order to cause them to wreck and claim the spoils. It was fairly isolated by land until the Great West Road was built, so has remained small, but with regular influx of fresh blood from various pirates and more retiring here through the years.
Tourism
None- in fact visitors are typically discouraged from staying with some alacrity, unless they know thieves cant and are here to trade or barter.
Architecture
Almost all buildings here are low and hug the cliff top, most made out of the keels of ships or boats aligned to give the ferocious winds no purchase with which to tip them over the mile high cliffs below. The whole village, in fact, looks remarkably like the bototm of the sea, with patch made of pounded sands, buildings made of upturned boats or cobbled together from ship's wood, and lit throughout with marine lamps hanging from mizzenmasts or rigging that is strung between buildings. On laundry days, the whole village looks almost like it could take sail.
Geography
Perched atop the Eagle Cliffs high above Brecksville Bay, the village gets warm, fierce winds consistently flowing over from the Malen Dauren plains to the east. The cliffs themselves stretch for around a mile at this point, an enormous escarpment down to the wide sandy beach below which is guarded by surprisingly vicious ridges and rocks in the waters. There are various natural gullies and cuts leading down the cliffs, the largest of which is a few miles to the north- but the residents pride themselves of a device they lovingly call the trebuchet- a counterweighted sling that can rapidly take passengers down the sheer edge of the cliff to the sands below.
