The Chevalier protects the weak from Darkness and guides those in need to a place of sanctuary. Knightly orders, adventurers and paladins call on her aid to help overcome adversity in vanquishing the evil of this world, particularly undead.
From her hip hangs "The Lightbringer", a gem-encrusted blade locked in its scabbard, that has said to lay sheathed since the Avanís Pantheon did battle with the Titan long ago. Along the blade is the inscription "Do not unsheath me without reason. Do not wield me without valour." Her followers take on this same oath - drawing their weapons only as a last resort, and to strive for peace wherever possible.

The Chevalier is the patron deity of the Dawn Guard, the Empire's elite defenders. Fables amongst their ranks tell of how the Chevalier's blade burned as bright as summer's sun in the days of war - something they seek to emulate as they protect the people of The Dawning Empire.
The Chevalier is allied with The Mason and The Green Knight, and directly opposes Avlar, The God-King in his eternal battle with the Green Knight.
The Shield Maiden's light burns brightly - her teachings often attracting fairly zealous individuals. Nevertheless, many knightly orders and bastions of the Empire dedicate themselves to her brilliance. Sailors might call for the Chevalier's protection on a long voyage, or a mother for her son's safe protection when he marches to war.
