Olwyn Cariad

eader of a community of ancient elves that inhabit The Nissien Coast and herald the gods of The Avanís Pantheon as they were before the Empire, Olwyn Cariad is a divisive name across the Empire.
From the time of Eá-galwen - when the Gods were worshipped as beings that walked alongside the common Man - Olwyn is one of the oldest beings in Daënfel. She is the leader of Fort Belegor, a military outpost guarding the river systems that lead to the heart of the Empire, and is a region that has been heavily involved in both defense against the raids of The Twin's Chosen and The Federation.
Her community not only guard the river's mouth but also roam the coast, beseeching the people of Daënfel to shrug off the yolk of industry and production that the Empire expects of them, and to focus on religious worship through martial practice and spiritual enlightenment. She has a following of some hundred elves who answer to her call, all trained in both bow and blade.
Sentiment towards her is generally mixed. She is respected as the winner of many battles and is relied upon at such a pivotal location to the Empire's defense, but her outwardly abrasive doctrine and large force of intensely loyal elite elven soldiers causes unease, even amongst the upper echolons of Empire politics.
