Atlas and Chulainn

tanding at 6'2", Atlas is a broad-shouldered charmer who has offered his services to the Company as a trainer. His mid-length wavy blonde hair frames his face, and he is constantly dressed in the red finery befitting his station as a knight of the Empire.   Atlas has spent his entire life with The Dawn Guard - a seasoned veteran in the field and a respected name around the most elite force of fighters in The Dawning Empire. Not only is he an accomplished warrior in his own right, but he has spent the vast majority of his career training the up-and-coming recruits for the organization; their reputation as the best of the best is in no small part to his constant supervision and tutelage.   When he speaks of his time amongst the Dawn Guard it is always with fond memories, but it is clear he left for a reason - his devilish ward, Chulainn, is evidence enough of that. Fiercely protective of the boy, Chulainn rarely leaves Atlas's side and can often be seen either training with sword or shield or studying with book and quill around camp.

The Company encountered Ser Atlas and his ward Chulainn along the Dancing River on their way to Dol Gadmen - quite early into their adventuring days.   The pair heralded the group's attention and asked them to investigate a recent attack on a local herder community amongst the Steppes.   Atlas identified himself as a retired member of The Dawn Guard, the elite group of knights who answer directly to the Emperor and are famed across the continent.   Chulainn, a tiefling boy who would never be accepted by the Empire, drew the attention of some of the Company members for his unique heritage that can be traced back to The Maw.   Nevertheless the Company set out to deal with the beast and rescue a herder boy who had gone missing following the attack.   Only those who were there witnessed what transpired, however many amongst the Company saw a grim Atlas returning from the tall grass alone, with his bereaved and disheveled ward slung across his shoulder.   Atlas is free to use for any player in the Company.
