Corsico Station
Rebuilt when Milan Rapid Transit put in their new hypertrain system, Corsico Station is a low-security, fairly quiet example of an off-ground station, standing only one story above ground level with a few shops and restaurants underneath.
Only one line, the S9, goes through Corsico. The S9 loop starts down in Gaggiano, travels northeast through Corsico and into the outer ring of Milan, loops through Blue Zone suburbs east and then north, goes through Sesto San Giovanni, then northeast to Monza, and then loops back to the northwest before ending in Saronno on the far edges of the Milan Metropolitan Area. This entire trip takes an hour and 40 minutes, and trains come every 30 minutes.
No special pass is needed to board this train; train tickets are 10 Eurodollars per trip, are pre-purchased singly or in bulk, and are loaded onto Milan ID swipe cards/subdermal chips. However, Red Card passengers are not allowed to disembark the S9 anywhere from San Cristoforo (the first station after Corsico) to Greco Pirelli (the last station before Sesto). Blue and Gold Card passengers may disembark at any point on this line.
