Polizia Locale Corsico
In Italy, the polizia locale work as the first-line peacekeeping officers on a commune level, whereas the Polizia di Stato are a national organization and technically responsible for the majority of law enforcement.
At least, that is how it used to work. After the Italian government began selling large swaths of land to corporations, the PS has essentially become a puppet of corporate agendas. In addition, the PS in Milan has largely left the communes that were a part of the corporate occupation to fend for themselves since the militarized zones were disbanded.
The Corsichesi municipal police force was badly damaged during the corporate occupation, with most of its officers getting killed, being bought out by corporations, or leaving town. As a result, the force has been rebuilding alongside the city. Understaffed and without much experienced leadership on tap, they are struggling hard to keep up with a rapidly expanding and increasingly criminalized city.
A municipal police station for a commune the size of Corsico would have had about 25-30 officers back in the day, supported by the Milanese Polizia di Stato. Now, they have only a fraction of that, and little to no support from Milan. The Corsechesi PL are on their own.
Structure
Run by a single Commissioner, with two Lieutenants under him who help manage the Officers.
