Cadence Matthews
Formerly of North Carolina, who came to Italy about five years ago and has been in the Milan area ever since. Early 30s, tall, athletically built, with dirty blonde hair and a personal style that leans towards the denim-and-canvas side of fashion. The kind of woman who gets described as “handsome” more than “beautiful.”
Straightforward and no-nonsense, tough in the way that women in blue-collar positions often have to be, with a dry sense of humor. Slight Southern drawl.
Like many of the warehouse workers, she has a machine link implant that allows her to control the heavy equipment inside the warehouse - forklifts, packing arms, the machine that labels the bottles, etc. Unlike most, however, she has subdermal torso armor, breathing filters, and an implanted radiation detector, all products of her past in the polluted and gang-ravaged Southern back country.
Cadence is Corsa's second-in-command and is quite loyal to him. She tries to stay out of Unione business whenever she can, and mostly keeps her head down.
Cadence is married to Birdie Matthews. They have a female North Carolina Plott Hound named Dixie.
