Miller’s Grill - 715 E High St

This “workman’s kitchen” serves meals through a window. Though there are some outdoor places to sit during good weather, there’s no dining room. Customers are given their hamburgers or sandwiches wrapped in low-quality butcher’s paper, and bottles of soda can be purchased to go with it should one desire. Hot, greasy, and cheap, the Grill is a favorite spot for night walkers, late workers, and those with very little pocket money.   Open later than many other businesses in New Jerusalem, the staff at the Grill sees all sorts of folks through the windows. Whether it’s watching shambling shapes out in the fog, seeing a fleeting figure running through the night, or hearing gunshots, there’s all sorts of information they could provide along with a toasted cheese sandwich should they be asked the right questions.
