Mystic Oasis Tavern

"The Mystic Oasis located at the Guild Ward is perhaps one of the oldest taverns in the whole city. There is something quite captivating about it, I would say. I recommend their cooled, red wine ... it has quite the fine taste...
— Al Mecard, an old regular of the Mystic Oasis.

At A Glance

The Mystic Oasis Tavern is an inviting-looking two-story building built from heavy stone slabs and thick, dark wood that has been smoothened with sandpaper and appears newly polished. The stone slabs, on their end, have been covered with a thin layer of crystalline glass that glistens in a wide spectrum of colors whenever sunlight shines upon it from a certain north-east direction.

First Impressions

Newcomers who arrive at the tavern will be met with the smells of newly baked bread, even during times of the day when nobody appears working in the kitchen. Accompanying it is a faint, minty smell that one can never forget once one notices it. It will always be there thereafter, at the tip of one's tongue, faint enough not to be too distracting.

On the opposite side of the entrance, there is an imposing fireplace, carved from one solid piece of granite, and it covers nearly the entire wall; only about a quarter is left where a life-sized portrait of a dashing old man in finest clothing looking at those who enter the tavern with a fine smile; it is not known who the portrait is depicting as the owners of the tavern keep quiet about it.

A stage for musical performances and various other entertainment purposes can be seen at the wall on one's left.
At times when it is not in use, three circular tables and accompanying chairs are placed on it; they are usually reserved for the ones who wish for a more elevated position when they eat and willing to pay a bit extra for it.

Sung Wood

Those who wish to spend some serious coin and receive the best customer service may be allowed to sit at the elongated table located near the stage, which, as per the service, is in usage whenever someone sits at the table. The best food can be expected, along with the tavern's famous red wine of the most expensive sort.

Mystic Pond

Placed at the center of the tavern, is a miniature artificial oasis. A pond whose stone foundation and edge are covered in that crystalline glass material. It is filled with clear, blue-white water that is kept cold with unknown, possibly magical means. Placed around it are several, white-colored plant pots, from which exotic miniature trees and other plants grow from.
Found at the bottom of the pond lays a cache of wine bottles that are quite expensive to buy, but the taste of the liquid within is said to be exquisite.
