Unseasonable Winds

It's the near dead of winter, but it's warm enough to see the grass under the snow. A Vengeance Hunter must have been put to rest. Go get inside.
In Thydian folklore, an unseasonably warm wind comes from the years of life leftover once a Vengeance Hunter has completed their task or has been Devived as a result of defying the Watcher and breaking their oaths to persue their revenge beyond death.   It is believed the warm wind is also the sigh of relief from evil-doers or those seeking to cause harm, as crimes against other people occur in the winter more often on those days. Parents often warn their children to stay indoors despite the lure of the warm weather because of this.   The Vengeance Hunter can remain among the living so long as they have time they've harvested. A blast of winter-frozen wind in summer is believed to occur when a Hunter takes time from one of the living, as well as leaving their sleeping victim with bruises.
Oh, a Hunter pinched again - at least we can sleep easier tonight knowing murderers will flee for their own beds.

Thank you! I love writing about undead and having fun ideas revolve around them. =D
