SummerCamp 2021 Worldbuilding Pledge Document
What world are you working on?
Corive! This world! =D
Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?
I'm still working on stuff related to the Thydian Civil War but really, anything related to the Born Into Power Somehow Campaign is the worldbuilding focus. If I can continue with trying to write something viewed as "good" about the Order of Speared Light, then that would be great.
Which area of the world(s) are you working on?
Theydim. It's where my players are currently in the setting and they have stuff to do there. That being said, I can do all the planning and prep work in the world, but unlike WorldEmber, pre-planning exact topics is harder because I have no idea what the prompts will be and what scale their result will be. Maybe it will be a tradition that helps crown a High King, maybe it's a tradition that is only in a small town on the side of nowhere for the campaign. In general, I get my gears turning to think of stuff that is handy for my campaign, but sometimes it's not as easy.
How much are you aiming to complete?
Going for Copper! I went to Diamond last year, but honestly, I don't expect to do more than copper.
When will you write?
When I'm on stream, the evenings, and whenever else I have time to write.
Who is your support network?
- My Chapter - RemEMBER
- The ASC
- My Players
- The World Anvil's amazing Discord and Challenge Community
Organizing my Worldbuilding
Pics or it didn't happen, the blog says? HAHAHAHAHHA! I HAVE 715 ARTICLES AT THE TIME OF THIS WRITING. ahem Anyway, yes, I think my Table of contents is nicely organized
Organizational Layouts
As for how I lay out everything? Well, I have my BBCode Templates. Anything not listed in these is either skipped or kept in the original Template Prompts format because it's stuff like the various drop down menus like on Character, I try to work out which organizations they're associated with so the articles automatically link back and forth to each other. The below spoilers contain the BBCode I use to make articles look like the examples above them. The text looks really ugly because the layout is on Notepad++ and I make use of new lines and tabs to organize "how deep" each section gets, but the end results look quite nice to me.
Images for Inspiration
Images? I guess I'd just send you to the Corive Inspiration Board article
