Classes
Every player in Citadel Nine chooses a Class that defines the type of content The Beacon routes to them, how NPCs perceive them, and their primary methods of earning Lumens. A player's Rank, from E to B, is not a measure of raw power, but a performance grade assigned by The Beacon based on how consistently and effectively they fulfill the expectations of their chosen role.
The Four Classes
- Heroes: Players who access tasks built around rescues, defenses, escorts, and direct response to Villain-initiated incidents.
- Villains: Players who engage with heists, sabotage, chaos Events, and turf operations, acting as antagonists to create conflict and spectacle.
- Wildcards: A versatile class that can join either side during incidents and has access to a dedicated task pool for support, logistics, crafting, and intelligence.
- Civilians: A non-combat class focused on social play, community engagement, and living within the city. They are non-targetable by default.
