Ranks
The Ranking System
Ranks in Citadel Nine reflect how consistently a player performs within their chosen role.
Rank Tiers
- E Rank: Entry level. All new players start here.
- D Rank: The first real checkpoint. The player has demonstrated they can reliably complete tasks appropriate to their class.
- C Rank: The competitive threshold. Reaching C Rank requires sustained, quality performance and access to Tier 2 content.
- B Rank: The current ceiling. B Rank players are considered the best active performers in their class, demonstrating excellence in high-tier content.
- A Rank: Theoretical. No player has ever achieved A Rank.
How Promotion Works
Promotion is not based on a progress bar. The Beacon issues a rank update after a period of strong, consistent performance. Demotions are rare but possible for prolonged failure or behavior that undermines a player's chosen role.
What Rank Affects
- Task Access: Higher ranks unlock higher-tier tasks.
- Income: Base stipends and task payouts scale with rank.
- Matchmaking: The Beacon tends to group players of similar rank.
