To keep the city dynamic and its inhabitants engaged, The Beacon regularly schedules city-wide events. Participation is rarely mandatory, but the unique rewards, social opportunities, and Hype generation make them a central part of life in Citadel Nine.

Annual Themed Events

These are primarily social and cosmetic events that occur annually. During these weeks, all players receive a temporary themed outfit, and districts are redecorated to match the theme.

• Summer Heartthrob: A beach-themed event where players receive swimwear. District 2's plaza becomes a massive pool, and beach volleyball tournaments take over District 1.
• Office Romance: A corporate-themed event where players are given suits and office attire. Tasks are rebranded as "corporate espionage" and "urgent deliveries."
• Ballroom Opulence: A formal gala where players receive gowns and tuxedos for masquerade balls and high-society duels in a transformed Grand Arena.
• Oriental Collection: A wuxia-inspired event focused on martial arts aesthetics, with flowing robes and stylized Combat tournaments.
• Bespectacled Sleepover: A cozy, "gap moe" event featuring pajamas, glasses, and city-wide pillow fights.

Major System Events

These are the most significant events on the city's calendar, directly impacting gameplay, player progression, and the competitive meta.

• The Beacon Open Circuit: The city's premiere combat tournament. Sixteen teams compete in a multi-round, three-phase match format for a massive 10,000,000 Lumen prize pool and eternal bragging rights.
• Recast Night: The one night per year where players can choose to permanently trade or reroll their unique Ability. It is a high-risk, high-reward event that comes with significant rank and reputation costs, making it the most psychologically intense night in Citadel Nine.
