Recast Night is a once-per-year event where players are given the option to permanently reroll or trade their unique Ability. This high-risk, high-reward decision is a source of immense community-wide speculation, drama, and legendary stream content.

Mechanics & Rules

• Registration: Players must register their intent to recast or trade one week in advance by paying a non-refundable 10,000 Lumen fee. The list of registered players is made public.
• The Process: In a private facility called the Recast Hall, a player can either surrender their ability for a new, randomly assigned one, or conduct a pre-arranged swap with another registered player.
• The Risk: The new ability is completely random and is not guaranteed to be better or even comparable in utility.

Costs & Consequences

The decision to recast carries significant penalties designed to make it a weighty choice:

• Rank Demotion: Recasting automatically reset a player's rank.
• Reputation Penalty: Trading an ability incurs a rank penalty on both players' public profiles for three months.
• Social Cost: Streamers who recast face intense audience scrutiny, and their career can rise or fall based on Chat's reaction to the new ability reveal.
