Shifters are most commonly found in the Lindral Forest, but of all the Biethtìre, they are also the most populous on the Goldengrass Plains.

Shifters are the prime Biethtìre.	Shifters are the most common kind of Biethtìre, so when a person thinks of a Biethtìre, they probably picture a shifter. This has led to many Biethtìre resenting the shifters for being representative of all Biethtìre.
Shifters are really multiple subraces of Biethtìre.	Despite the vast differences in appearance and mannerisms within the Shifters, Athenoron created all of them based on one period of Jakular's life as a mortal where he was trying to train himself to call upon features of creatures at a moment's notice.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The nutritional needs of Shifters are largely dependant on the kind of animal they display traits of. Predatory shifters require more meat, while those based on herbivores may require more vegetables or grasses.
