Biethtíre
The Biethtíre are really a number of races that weer all created in Jakular's image. Due to the god's mercurial shape, when Athneron was creating races for the Seven First Ones, he created them in many of the forms that Jakular had taken. These are not to be confused with many of the races that Jakular himself created later on. The Biethtíre are comprised of the following races, in order of population size: Shifters, Loxodon, Lizardfolk, Yuan-Ti, Tortle, Hazodee, Leonin, Giff, Owlin, and Grung. Each of these types of Biethtíre has their own cultures and history.
Due to the large number of individual types of Biethtíre, they are the most populous race of Chenravo, and they are spread across the continent. From the Marsh of Many Scales, to the Lindral Forest, to the Riverlands, to even the Land of the Magiliths, the Biethtíre can be found nearly everywhere. Their ancestral homeland is technically the Goldengrass plains. However, it is now largely dominated by the Halflings as the Biethtìre have spread.
Their diversity extends also to their ways of life. While some are tribal, others are nomadic, and still others participate in fuedal style governments. While different types of social structure are associated with different types of Biethtíre, it is important to note that most Biethtíre breeds have examples of each of these. The Biethtíre, unlike all of the other Elder Races, have never been united under a single leader. From the beginning, many of them have gone their own way, forging paths of independance. The Grung made their way to the False Life Isles, and live in a loose group of tribes, the Leonin still roam the Goldengrass Plains as nomads, and the Loxodon have ventured to the Lindral forest and act commonly as advisors, nobles, or even royalty.
