Oooh, what a wonderfully twisted creature! I like the way you describe the bio-metallic organism - the defenses and weapons sound really cool, and the body horror thrown in makes this deliciously creepy. Together with the clever mind and nasty personality this makes for a great villain - the kind you can't help but admire from far, faaaaar away.
Great article! I love the idea of a ship gaining sentience and its voice in your quotes XD And it being so petty the image of all the little ships following it around XD I also like he way you've described the bio technologies, seems really fascinating!
Did the ship sunk the Tower of Bisak because it was an enemy trying to get it, or did it heard about its reputation and just wanted to prove who was the best ship? :p
Hey AmélieIS, happy to hear that you enjoyed reading about the ship :D
In regards to the "Iceberg incident" the Triumph initially only attacked the Tower just for having the audacity of driving around in "their ocean", but when it didn't sink like it was supposed to the whole thing became personal for the Triumph.
The fact that the Tower was also a highly prized ship of the Vitreous Empire probably was merely the cherry on top of this particular vengeance cake :D

I love the quotes. They do such a great job of adding to the ambiance of the article. Also, yikes.
'In addition to its "old" armaments, the ship also acquired various new "natural weapons", such as metallic claws, needle-filled jaws, and winding tentacles made from its former anchor chains.'
Double yikes. :D
oof! A pretty and predatory ship! That is great and fearsome.

"petty" it may be pretty in some eyes too the way it sounds.
