Vilverin
The City of Bronze
Shining Jewel of Ezura, the City of Bronze, Medb's Harbour, Vilverin and the City of Five Names are but some of the titles for this ancient human enclave on Northern Ezura. Many goods from the wider continent congregate here, to be shipped to Enetia and eventually on to the continent of man, Albion. And while the city is without a doubt human, it reflects the life and diversity of races of the wider realm. Elves, Dwarves, Nyoka and even Saurians can be seen roaming the wide streets here.
The city brims with wonders of the South and East, and a healthy black market has established itself in the vaults underneath its streets, selling everything from snake oil to long lost artefacts. Its turquoise-topped towers loom over the many densely packed buildings, and dozens of arches and bridges connect the many walls surrounding the hills on which the city stands.
Vilverin is also famed for its dedication to Danu. Its ever-burning flames pay homage to the Goddess of Light even during rain-filled nights. Its dedication is made manifest in its Basilica for the goddess, boasting the largest cathedral on Calcaria dedicated to a single deity. The Archbishop here is a Deva guarded by the Paladins of Danu, the Seraph. Acolytes and worshippers travel far and wide to hear him speak, though he does so rarely and usually delegates such minor tasks to the many humanoid priests in his service.
